Five years ago, Brent and Keeley drove across Canada, and one of the most memorable stops along the way was the Terry Fox Memorial in Thunder Bay.
Standing there and reflecting on Terry’s incredible journey was an emotional experience. His strength, endurance, courage, and determination to run a marathon every day as part of his Marathon of Hope continue to inspire us. Even after all these years, Terry’s story still brings tears to our eyes.
For so many of us, cancer has touched our lives in one way or another. We have lost people we love, supported family and friends through their battles, and witnessed the incredible strength of those who continue to fight.
That is why INS Claims is proud to support the Terry Fox Foundation and participate in the Terry Fox Run this year.
Running Together for a Cause
Participating in the Terry Fox Run each year is extremely important to us. This year, we’re taking it one step further by creating an INS Claims team, and we would love for you to join us!
On Sunday, September 20, 2026, our team will be running in Port Coquitlam, Terry’s hometown. For us, there is something especially meaningful about coming together in the community where Terry grew up and celebrating the legacy he created.
We all have our own personal heroes.
Some are people we have lost to cancer — people whose memories we carry with us every day. We run in their honour and remembrance.
Others are still fighting. They are our family members, friends, colleagues, and loved ones who continue to face cancer with courage and determination. We run with them and for them, hoping that every step helps support the search for better treatments, new discoveries, and, ultimately, a cure.
Because research matters. Treatment matters. Hope matters.
And sometimes, miracles do happen.

The Terry Fox Run is about so much more than a distance or a finish line. It is about coming together as a community, remembering those we have lost, supporting those who are still fighting, and continuing Terry’s Marathon of Hope.

Participants can choose from three route options:

6 km
9 km
All three routes are fully accessible and open to walkers, runners, cyclists, rollerbladers, and those using wheelchairs or strollers. Leashed dogs are welcome too!
